An original native of Kerrville, Kyla graduated from Texas A&M in 1993 with a Bachelors of Animal Science and in 1996 with a Masters of Business Administration. She very notably spent much of her time competing and serving in the leadership capacity with the Aggie Equestrian Club. Her husband, John, is a 4th generation of Uvalde County and that is where they have called home during the majority portion of their nearly 25 years of marriage. Together they have four children, a son, daughter, and twin daughters, who can most commonly be found in-tow while pulling horse or show pig trailers across many state highways or in various arenas.
In a likewise way of being comfortable in a variety of literal arenas, Kyla is also comfortable in many arenas involving real estate. As the daughter of two successful real estate agents, she learned much from a very young age. A value that was instilled upon her as a young child that she still carries with her today, is to do all with a servant's heart. After achieving her degree in finance and developing her business sense further with a job at Koch Industries, Inc. corporate offices in Dallas, she used her natural apt at sales and business skills to achieve Executive Senior Sales Director, Pink Cadillac and Top director status with the Mary Kay company in a very short amount of time. She is also a proud John Maxwell Leadership Graduate.
In 2016, when the opportunity to purchase a local abstract data plant and title company came up, with John having a Law Degree and focus on real estate and land rights, it was a natural decision for them to grow further and become Title Company owners. Shortly thereafter, while working alongside her husband as attorney/examiner, she became a licensed Escrow Officer, overseeing and managing the daily closings and growing the team to more than 8 staff members and three offices. In just a few short years they went from closing a few files a month within their county, to now closing 50+ files a month in nearly a third of all the counties of Texas.
As a ranch owner and agriculture producer herself, Kyla has vast knowledge of what makes a property desirable to a purchaser. This, coupled with her diverse experience as a former Escrow Officer and Title Company owner, provides a unique transaction skill set to her as a now licensed realtor with the ability to ensure the vitality and success of even the most complex contracts.
